4 POEMS BY KATIE LEWINGTON

Bric and brac

rustic collections
of tat
mistaken for vintage garments.

Perception

what truths are there
that cannot be altered

even the vows
were cursed

for he had a secret
well, at least
in any case

he hadn’t been honest
with his bride

Pedestal

the famous and
those infamous
both groups
backstabbed and bitched
over the definition of their given
title
which is which
and who can tell

Pores

on perspiring skin
blue green yellow M N Ms
become ink
staining cheeks
finger tips
and plump lips.
